NSA Chapter Leadership Events
Chapter Leadership
The Chapter Leadership Council is made up of 20 Chapter Consultants, who are past chapter presidents recognized for their outstanding leadership qualities. Each Consultant is appointed to a two-year term and serves 2-3 chapters in their region. The Consultants serve as a resource of support and guidance to chapters.
The Consultants are also responsible for Chapter Leadership programming at NSA's Conferences and Conventions. Chapter Leadership sessions give chapter leaders an opportunity to exchange information and ideas relevant to chapter development and growth.
Fall/ Winter Conferences
Chapter Leadership Receptions at the Fall and Winter Conferences are a networking opportunity for NSA and the Chapter Leadership Council (CLC) to thank our chapter leaders for providing leadership to their local communities.
Camp NSA
In 1998 the NSA Board of Directors approved funds for a chapter leadership training camp -- a weekend designed to hone the leadership skills of chapter presidents-elect. In November 1998 NSA's International Center located in Tempe, Arizona hosted the first-ever Camp NSA.
Camp NSA is designed to bring together committed volunteer chapter leaders and centralize their experience with other volunteer leaders and NSA headquarters staff. The mission is to create a strong relationship that strengthens communication, increases cooperation and heightens the experience that the individual member has in the local chapter environment. Incoming chapter presidents will learn valuable leadership and association management tools and discover opportunities to serve at the national level.
Camp NSA is held annually the week before Thanksgiving in Tempe, Arizona. The program starts Tuesday afternoon and ends Thursday at noon. For more information about CampNSA, Click Here
